Kenya’s Ministry of Health has announced a yellow fever outbreak in parts of the country. The ministry plans to conduct yellow fever vaccination in Isiolo and other high-risk locations.
We encourage vaccination, if not already done.
Yellow fever is transmitted by the bite of an infected mosquito, and the mosquito species Aedes aegypti is present throughout Kenya. The yellow fever vaccine has been around for decades and is one of the most effective ever recorded.
A single vaccination can provide lifelong immunity.
It is recommended for everyone from 9 months to 60 years old. More details are in the attached documentation:

Il Ministero della Salute del Kenya ha annunciato un’allerta focolaio di febbre gialla in alcune parti del paese. Il Ministero prevede di condurre la vaccinazione contro la febbre gialla a Isiolo e in altri luoghi ad alto rischio.

La febbre gialla viene trasmessa dalla puntura di una zanzara infetta e la specie di zanzara Aedes aegypti è presente in tutto il Kenya. Il vaccino contro la febbre gialla esiste da decenni ed è uno dei più efficaci mai registrati.
