C’è stato un incontro, organizzato dalla ONG World Vision, che riteniamo importante e di notevole interesse.
Si è trattato di una riunione avvenuta tra le Autorità Governative locali, affiancate dalle Rappresentanze degli uffici governativi giunti da Nairobi, e le ONG,s: World Vision , FH, e CIPAD che operano nella sub contea di Sololo.
CIPAD ringrazia vivamente il DCC (massima autorità governativa locale) che ha accolto i partecipanti nei suoi uffici, sottolineando così la dovuta importanza da doversi attribuire all’incontro che si è svolto il 24-06-2022
Il fine dell’incontro era quello di presentare alle Autorità Governative il lavoro di base e i futuri programmi che le ONG svolgono nella sub contea di Sololo a supporto della comunità.
Dalle prime impressioni raccolte dai partecipanti, sembrerebbe che CIPAD abbia avuto grande attenzione, suscitando vivo interesse con la sua relazione.
Pubblicheremo il rapporto ufficiale che arriverà dall’operatore di CIPAD che ha partecipato all’incontro. Anticipiamo che:
- FH ha parlato di come rispondere ai disastri; come monitorare l’acqua disponibile; …
- World Vision di come rispondere ai disastri; come proteggere i minori creando consigli consultivi in 6 aree della sub contea; come perfezionare le capacità delle insegnanti degli asili nidi; …
- CIPAD ha evidenziato il suo lavoro concreto sul campo più che le motivazioni teoriche che ne sono alla base.
- In pratica si è parlato più di fatti concreti che di piani teorici di sviluppo.
- E’ stato raccontato, ciò che il “Progetto-Sololo” svolge da anni nel campo dell’istruzione; della tutela della salute; del cibo e della qualità della nutrizione
- Al centro la prevenzione: dando riparo e assistenza mediante la protezione sociale e fornendo i mezzi di sussistenza, pur sempre con il supporto psicosociale e altro secondo necessità; poi la cura con la protezione tempestiva nel bisogno e con i programmi mirati alla popolazione più povera e/o più fragile come gli anziani.
I presenti soddisfatti, si sono congratulati.

Sono molto fiducioso che questo incontro possa aprire un futuro di autentica collaborazione tra tutte le forze disponibili integrate tra loro; coordinate e supportata sempre dalle Autorità Governative.
A questa popolazione di Sololo si dovrebbe offrire sempre il meglio del meglio possibile; perchè questa gente se lo merita al 100 %.
Sono persone che hanno dimostrato di saper sopportare sacrifici e difficoltà spesso ai limiti dell’umano … certo impossibili per altri.
Riconosciamo a questa gente una grande dignità; un grande coraggio; una grande tradizione culturale, ove è probabile che sia veramente nata la democrazia.
Si, forse sono di parte; lo riconosco.
Tuttavia, loro, a casa loro, devono fare loro le proprie scelte e noi … abbiamo il dovere di metterli in condizione di poterle fare ed attuare.
