La famiglia di Makutano dove vive la bambina N.I. di 5 anni e cieca dalla nascita, ha ricevuto una nuova casetta da una benefattrice americana che si era offerta di aiutare chi avesse particolare bisogno. La casa è esattamente dello stesso modello che Cipad costruisce con la manovalanza locale: due stanze con tetto in lamiera a falda unica. (vedi foto allegate).
Il prete cattolico, che si fa chiamare padre Abraham, attualmente residente a Nairobi e che in passato è stato il cappellano del Sololo Mission Hospital, ha raccontato che durante il periodo pasquale, c’è stata una signora americana che gli aveva chiesto di poter sostenere una famiglia bisognosa. Lui le aveva dato le informazioni necessarie, incluso il preventivo della casetta che è stato subito accettato dalla donatrice. Ora si è concretizzato il sogno di questa famiglia.
Padre Abraham ha promesso di tornare presto in visita a Sololo.
Makutano’s family where the child N.I. 5 years old and blind since birth, she received a new house from an American benefactress who had offered to help those in particular need of her. The house is exactly the same model that Cipad builds with local workers: two rooms with a single-pitch sheet metal roof. (see attached photos).
The Catholic priest, who calls himself Father Abraham, currently resident in Nairobi and who in the past was the chaplain of the Sololo Mission Hospital, said that during the Easter period, there was an American lady who had asked him to be able to support a needy family. He had given her the necessary information, including the estimate of the house which was immediately accepted by the donor. Now this family’s dream has come true.
Father Abraham has promised to visit Sololo again soon.
